What is hair transplant?
Hair transplantation is done using the patient’s own hair. Hair is taken from the very back of the patient’s head where it is genetically programmed to grow permanently. Hair from this site is separated into follicular units and transplanted to other areas of the head, where it will continue to grow as your natural hair. This donor hair carries with it the genetic code to resist balding, therefore making the hair transplant permanent.
Will I get full head of hair?
No. This technique only to transplant the existing healthy hair. It does not create any new hair. So it can not be possible to provide a full head of hair. However, a comparatively small amount of hair transplanted expertly can produce the illusion of substantially more hair than there actually is.
Are hair transplant results permanent?
Yes. Hair from the lower side or lower back of scalp donor area is genetically resistant to the male hormone that causes balding. When hair is appropriately harvested for hair restoration, the results are permanent.
How long will it take to grow?
Your transplant will be fully grown approximately 7-8 months after your session.
Is the procedure painful?
No, Most patients watch a movie, play games on phone or take a nap while we work. Afterwards, they tell us that during the procedure they felt no pain. Any discomfort they feel afterwards is usually very temporary and nearly always minimal.
Is the procedure dangerous?
No. This procedure is very safe as it is a minor surface surgery.
When can I go back to office?
For the first twenty- four hours, there will be a strip of bandage around the head. After that, you will be able to remove the bandage and shampoo your hair as usual. If you have the surgery done on the hairline, the small scabs will remain for seven to ten days. Some patients may want to cover the area with a cap
How many session of surgery will I require?
If you have an area partially covered with hair, it may take only one surgery to fill in the area. But If you have a completely bald area, it may take two to three surgeries to cover your entire head
How much time for one session?
A hair transplantation procedure may take from 6-7 hours depends upon the work to be done.
Can hair transplant affect the rest of my hair?
No it does not affect as Hair roots are very hard
